Aromatherapy Hair Creme Bath at Dadaluxe

I am very happy to be blessed with very smooth, naturally straight and finely textured hair which i am rather proud of. However, nothing is perfect, despite this, i have an oily scalp, I cannot go more than 12 hours without washing my hair as my hair would get very oily gradually after that.

I am so thankful for the amazing Hair Creme Bath treatment i received from Dadaluxe a few days ago, it helped cleanse my oily scalp and protects it from UV damages and other 'poison' which is potentially damaging.

DADA Glow Premium Organic Hair Creme Bath Treatment intensify the power of certified organic produce and fresh ingredients to create an environment for strong healthy & shinny hair. It restore balance and health back to your scalp, and cast a layer of protection against environmental aggression and UV damage. Perfect for all scalp and hair type, DADA Glow Premium Organic Creme Bath cleanses, reinvigorates, moisturizes and relax your hair, making it stronger silkier and more vibrant.

Treatment room was spacious and brightly decorated with yellow furniture giving it a very warm and cozy environment.

The comfortable arm chairs on the left are for their hand & foot treatment.

You can choose from a variety of creme baths like Marula Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil and also treatments such as "Protein, Glow, Revival, Lush, Soothe, Expresso" for different benefits. All ingredients used are natural and fresh.

Benefits of these creme baths include sebum control, promoting hair growth, prevention of hair loss, brings shine to dull hair, deep hydration, prevents damages, prevents scalp from harsh environments, prevents itch etc.

Each treatment lasts as long as 75 minutes.

I was recommended to try their "Soothe" Creme Bath as i had oily scalp which is rather sensitive at times and will itch occasionally.

Soothe Hair Crème Bath uses menthol and aloe vera to cool and relax the scalp, and eradicate dandruff, while saturating the hair cortex with moisture. It aids in relieving you of dry and itchy scalp.

Benefits:
Cooling sensation to combat humid, itchy scalp.
Analgesic properties to fight minor pains.
Antipruritic properties to stop itching.
Anesthetic and anti-irritant properties for fast relieve.

I was led to wash and shampoo my hair, this Pure organic revitalising shampoo was used, it is another one of the organic items by Dadaluxe. Not only does it smell excellent, it also has plenty of benefits because of the organic and pure ingredients it contains.

Benefits: It contains rich hydrating properties. It contains vitamin E to heal, repair and protect your scalp and hair. It contains antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. It contains antioxidants to free radicals. It is free from harmful synthetic chemicals and artificial additives.

This was the lady attending to me, she was very knowledgeable about Dadaluxe's products and explained patiently to me what some of them were about.

The staff were all so nice and attentive to my needs, I was given a nice cup of Numi Organic Tea (Moroccan Mint flavour) while having my hair treatment.

And then it begins.. the creme was slowly and gently massaged into my scalp and i could feel the cooling sensation from the mint intensifying, it felt really great and relaxing, feels so good to be pampered this way!

Next, i was put under the steamer so that the hair and the scalp and absorb all the nutrients and goodness from the treatment.

Was given another cup of tea by the lovely staff and this time, they let me try the "Chocolate Pu'er" flavour. I thought this was something very cleverly combined. It smells like sweet chocolate but when you drink it, it's not at all sweet like chocolate. It doesn't make me feel guilty having this chocolate drink.

I was given a shoulder and neck massage too!!!

The whole session felt so relaxed and the staff pampered me like a princess and off i left with very clean scalp, my hair feels so much healthier when i stepped out from Dadaluxe.

Till next time!

[Food Review] Flee Away Cafe

Flee Away Cafe is an old school cafe set with a modern twist and a retro touch. It has a different concept from other cafes, it's a 'Cafe Meets Shop' because it is also a place where you can shop! Cubicles are available inside for vendors to display their unique and vintage merchandises.

One of their specialties is this dish. Was so attracted to the cute little baby in the poster.

Little cubicles that contain merchandises.

The whole cafe was decorated with vintage, quirky items from the past bringing back a very nostalgic feeling.

This table is actually cleverly transformed from a vintage sewing machine. This is the sewing machine my grandma used to have in her room, i think same model, haha.

Got excited upon seeing these chairs, it has been really really long since i last saw these.

Spot the Singapore/Singlish edition of 'The Three Little Pigs'.

This TV also found in my grandma's room last time, long time no see too!!

The cubicles are numbered and you can actually buy anything in it if you see anything you like.

Snacks we love when we were in primary school! My favourite was Bee Bee, it was only 10 cents per packet at that time.

Cute vintage Zebra found below the cubicles.

Mango Mint Iced Tea $5.00
Mango juice and tea garnished with fresh mint.

Banana Peanut Butter Milkshake $7.50
This was really thick and filling with small chunks of banana and peanuts inside. If you order this, don't attempt to finish it first, its best to save this for the last so that your stomach has space for all the other fantastic dishes Flee Away Cafe has to offer. I liked this a lot though.

Next came the Beef Hash Pie Tee at $12.50 for 6 pcs.

Instead of the traditional Pie Tee which has the usual  turnips, eggs, prawns, etc as fillings, Flee Away Cafe offers corned beef and diced potatoes as fillings for their Pie Tees along with some alfafa sprouts.

Our main dishes were their specialty, Le Char Kuey which is gigantic sized Yu Tiao (fried dough fritters) filled with many types of fillings to choose from. Each Le Kuay comes with mini papadams (indian fried crackers) and salad.

This one we chose was the dry laksa Le Char Kuey, $12.50. It was slightly spicy and accompanied with eggs and fish cake, just like laksa. Tastes heavenly when eaten together with the slightly crunchy and not too oily yu tiao.

We chose 'All Day Breakfast' for the other Le Char Kuey. $15.50 It contains bite-size turkey bacon, eggs, tomato, baked beans, chicken sausages. Basically all the common things you will find in an American breakfast set. We thought this was very innovative!

Back to taking pictures of the whimsical decorations which really attracted me.

Old movie seats found here too!

[Food Review] Hua Long Fishhead Steamboat

Hua Long Fishhead Steamboat is located within a coffeeshop in Ang Mo Kio, it serves affordable restaurant quality culinary at affordable prices.

Established in 2003, Hua Long Fishhead Steamboat is renowned for its heartwarming Charcoal Fish head Steamboat and many other dishes. During the recent years, Hua Long has been revamping their stall and constantly improving their recipes so that customers can enjoy exceptional dishes at reasonable prices.

Roller Coaster, one of my favourite childhood snacks were served on the table when we arrived, while waiting for the rest of the dishes.

And here comes our first dish, Lobster Exquisite Premium Set!!! We were all very impressed by how majestically this dish was presented.

This incldes stir fried lobster with butter and cheese, prawn roll, jade abalone, golden sand chicken and crab meat omelette.

The generous serving of succulent, fresh lobster meat went along very well with the creamy butter and cheese combination. The sweet and sour sauce which accompanied the abalone makes this a perfect start to dinner.

This dish usually costs $118.

Next came the comfort food for my soul, Hua Long's Fish Head Steamboat. (Red Grouper), $28.80

The soup uses old mother hen, anchovies, yellow beans, grinded sole fish, dried shrimps, sour plum, dang gui powder and it is slow cooked in charcoal for many hours without MSG giving it a very intense and rich flavour.

Fish was tender and fresh, along with it came with lots of vegetables and yam.

One bowl for me is not enough, i had at least 3 bowls of the very addictive soup.

The next dish is Wok-fried Venison with Red Wine Sauce in Stone Pot. Unlike most zi char stalls, this dish was served in a stone pot with a wooden base instead of the normal oval plates. The bonito flakes that topped the dish makes it look like a Japanese inspired dish.

The flavours of red wine resulted in the venison being very sweet and savoury. Meat was very tender and perfectly cooked. At least i didn't have to bite it upteen times to be able to swallow it.

Next came their Signature Wok-fried White Beehoon on Opeh Leaf.  ($6.50/9/12/18).

The beehoon was very moist and tasty because it was cooked with wholesome, flavourful broth. it's like eating hokkien beehoon instead of eating hokkien mee. Came with prawns, squids, fish cakes, pork slices, clam, fried garlic and lime... Just like hokkien mee. Nevertheless, we all agreed that this was an excellent dish.

Stir-fried LALA with Chef's Butter Garlic.

We all thought that this is quite a different and innovative combination rather than the usual Lala stir fried with garlic or sambal. Results were great too, the butter garlic concoction led to this dish being very creamy with a very distinct flavour of garlic.

Pan-seared Sea Scallop with Conpoy & US Asparagus. Scallops were fat, juicy and fresh, asparagus very crunchy.

Japanese Melon Prawn Coated with Wasabi & Bonito Flakes $22.

King prawns coated with wasabi and mayo. The mayo was enough to drench and eliminate the stinging taste of wasabi. A well executed dish, not being overly sweet. Again and most importantly, the prawns were very succulent.

Last but not least came our big bowl of dessert, Double Boiled Hashima with Ginseng & Honey Dates. A perfect way to end the very heavy but extremely delicious meal.

Noticed that i always describe their food as fresh? That is due to the fact that Hua Long takes pride in only using the freshest seafood and quality ingredients.

Priviledge Card with 10% discount off total bill will be issued to regulars. New customers with a total spending of $150 and above can also receive this card.
